Project Name | Mixed Polyester Deconstruction & Monomer Recovery to Enable a Circular Bioeconomy |
Project Detail | Katrina (Kat) Knauer is a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the CTO of the BOTTLE Consortium, and an assistant adjoint professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Knauer will focus on a new process for mixed, variable bio-based polyester waste streams based on a volatile amine catalyzed methanolysis process. This technology will reduce reliance on both fossil fuels and agricultural feedstocks. |
