The project concerns the development, construction and management of a 240MW / 480MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) located in Cernay-lès-Reims, Marne.
Objectives
The main objectives are to realise a utility scale BESS system able to provide additional flexibility resources and system services (frequency containment and restauration, balancing, and additional capacity for adequacy needs) to the French and European power systems. The project will enable the integration of renewables and will contribute to the security of supply of the system.
