The objective of the project is for the municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso to acquire the technical and financial means to sustainably boost the local economy of its territory, based on commercial facilities. The first component of the project aims to improve governance at the municipal level in terms of taxation, management of commercial facilities and food resilience. The second component contributes to the implementation of part of the citys investment program. The developments carried out on two bus stations and two markets will help stimulate local economic circuits (local supply chains) and improve food resilience to the effects of climate change. Designed in consultation with users (traders, transporters, consumers, passengers and other stakeholders in the local food supply chain), they will take into account the challenges of adapting to climate change and the specific needs of women. |
