The main objective of the decentralization and local government support project (PADCT) is to make a significant contribution to the sustainable and equitable improvement of the living conditions of the populations of the Boucle du Mouhoun and East regions and to a peaceful social climate, in a context of vulnerability to crises. This objective is broken down into two main areas: (i) "Development": development of economic activities, particularly agro-pastoral, development of infrastructure with a local economic impact, access to basic social services, strengthening local project management capacities; (ii) "Governance and social cohesion": dialogue between public authorities and communities, actions to promote citizenship and strengthen trust between communities. The project intervention area includes the entire East region (27 municipalities), as well as the provinces of Banwa, Balés and Mouhoun in the Boucle du Mouhoun region (23 municipalities). The project is structured in four components:
- Component 1: Inclusive territorial governance and social dialogue;
- Component 2: Socio-economic development of territories;
- Component 3: Peaceful land management and spatial planning;
- Component 4: Institutional strengthening, capitalization and dialogue on public policies, project management and steering |
