The construction program of the School of Tourism, Hotel and Catering Trades (EMTHR) aims to ensure a training offer and a support system that is accessible, attractive, efficient and adapted to the needs of the industry tourism, in order to improve the employability and socio-professional integration of young Beninese. EMTHR is included in a program launched by the Beninese government to build eight reference trade schools throughout the territory in order to provide a solution to the gap between training and the job market in Benin, in accordance with to the new National Strategy for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SN-TVET) adopted in 2019. The specific objective of the funding is to improve the employability and socio-professional integration of young men and women as well as disabled people who graduate from EMTHR through decent jobs, while developing specialties and opportunities relating to the ecological and cultural tourism. The EMTHR program is developed and implemented by LuxDev through delegations to national institutions implementing the programs actions, the main one of which is the Agency for the Development of Technical Education (ADET) which will be in charge the construction of the school, through project management delegated to the Agency for the Construction of Infrastructure in the Education Sector (ACISE). The Luxembourg funding is a donation amounting to EUR 17,000,000 over a period of three years. |
