The preparation group must make a proposal on updating the Governments decision in principle regarding the strategy and the measures related to its implementation.
The update of the action program must be completed in 2024 at the latest. The work must make use of the previous strategy and program of measures as well as the preparatory model of the program of measures, and take into account the strategies and programs of measures that are already underway in the preparatory work

Prime Minister Orpo outlined that the 2020-2023 update of the strategy and action program for the fight against the gray economy and financial crime will be launched under the leadership of Minister of Labor Arto Satonen and coordinated by the Ministry of Labor and Economic Affairs.

At the general session of the Government on March 21, 2024, it was decided to continue the Governments decision-in-principle on the national gray economy and economic crime prevention strategy and action program 2020 - 2023 until the updated decision-in-principle is approved. It was decided to do the preparation cross-administratively together with representatives of various ministries and authorities. |
