Project Detail |
980km of new pipe, 12 new pump stations, 19 new tanks, terminal expansion with three new berths, and mobile data collection with mTOOLS™
The Trans Mountain Expansion Project (TMEP) will parallel the 1,150-kilometre route of the existing Trans Mountain pipeline built in 1953—the only West Coast link for Western Canada’s oil. The expansion will increase the nominal capacity of the system from 300,000 to 890,000 barrels per day and is expected to be in service by late 2020.
When TMEP needed a reliable construction management and inspection (CM&I) partner, someone that aligned with their vision of a safe, successful, and compliant project, our team joined the project and delivered an execution plan that would meet regulatory requirements, minimize environmental and community impacts, and unlock access to world markets for Canadian oil.
Our job is to monitor the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor work and verify compliance for all regulatory and client requirements. Using our mobile solution (mTOOLS™) for data collection, we’ll build efficiencies along the way as we manage HSSE, environmental compliance, quality management, socio-economic management, construction standards, and engineering specifications.
This transformational project will define Canada’s energy landscape and contribute to the communities in which we live and work. |
