Location: Armenia Project number: 54835 Business sector: Transport Notice type: State Approval date: 01 May 2024 Status: Exploratory PSD disclosed: 29 Feb 2024 Project Description The EBRD loan will support establishment of a Customs and Logistics Center (CLC) near Yerevan (Yerevan CLC, Yerevan Centre) by financing the construction of customs terminal buildings and acquisition of relevant equipment (the Project). The investment is expected to qualify for the Green building certification, resulting in Yerevan CLC, along with similar centre in Syunik region, being one of the first government buildings to achieve such certification. Project Objectives The Yerevan Centre is expected to increase efficiency and transparency of customs operations, improve the quality and introduce time reductions required for customs clearance services through the application of the One Stop Shop / Single Window concept. The Project is also a part of EBRDs response for Armenias refugee crisis, as it will support labour market integration for refugees and promote development of host communities. |
