The provision of a senior secured loan of up to US$ 22 million equivalent (in US$ and KZT) to Energo Trust LLP, SPV incorporated in Kazakhstan, for the development, construction, and operation of a wind power plant with an installed capacity of 50 MW in the Arshaly district of Akmola region, Kazakhstan. The Banks loan will be utilised to cover the historical project costs.
Project Objectives
The project will support Kazakhstan in its objective to increase the share of renewable energy in the energy mix, contribute to reducing Kazakhstans carbon intensity, and address the countrys increasing electricity demand. |
