The project for the reconstruction of the former surgical building at 25 Manukyan Street was implemented by order of "Hayastan" All Armenian Fund, according to the agreement signed between "Air-Design" LLC and "Hayastan" Hamarmenni Fund dated 17.10.2022. On the basis of the contract RA/NN-08/22, the design task and the design permit No. 08 of March 01, 2023 for the major repair of the former surgical building of "Berdi Medical Center" CJSC and the construction of the shelter attached to the operating room, issued by the head of Berd community of Tavush region, in accordance with the construction and fire prevention norms and rules.
The existing building is a two-story building with a partial basement, built in the 1960s and located on the site of the Berd Medical Center. Compositionally, the building has an n-shaped outline in plan. A part of the building is currently set aside and operated as a hospital. The remaining part is not used. The supporting constructions of the building are made with 50 cm thick stone walls, the roofs are prefabricated reinforced concrete. The height of the floors from the floor to the ceiling is 3.00 m. is
It is planned to locate the medical centers administration, accounting, laboratories, pediatric and adult infectious departments in the reconstructed part. The entrances to the administration, laboratories and infection departments are separate. Ramps are provided at the entrances for groups with reduced mobility.
The composition and dimensions of the rooms were confirmed with the management of the medical center. In the opposite part of the basement, it is planned to build an attached building, which will serve as an operating room in case of emergency/wartime situations. The vertical connection of the basement floor and the annex to the building being reconstructed is provided by a newly constructed staircase. The exit of the patients who have recovered from the infectious disease from the hospital building is provided by the planned staircase.
It is planned to repair the supporting constructions of the sloping roof of the part of the building being reconstructed and to replace the asbestos slate with a galvanized corrugated roof sheet. In the master plan, at the entrance of the hospital, asphalted areas are planned for the approach of cars and to organize open-air parking. The project envisages improvement and landscaping of the area. Special attention has been paid to the installation of fire and evacuation related entrances and exits according to norms.
Modern heating, ventilation, gas supply, water supply, sewerage, electricity supply, communication and fire alarm systems are planned in the hospital building according to norms. |
