This project aims to reduce threats to Canadians and the international community posed by the proliferation and use of weapons of mass destruction. Project activities include: (1) implementing national capability assessment and training processes in high-priority countries to build nuclear counter-smuggling capabilities; and (2) implementing regional Geiger working groups gathering law enforcement and security service agencies. These groups seek to share information on nuclear and radiological security threats and emerging trends. |
