This project aims to increase the freedom and security of human rights defenders in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Ukraine and Sudan. Project activities include: (1) providing protection grants for human rights defenders at risk; (2) providing training and support to help protect the security of human rights defenders, particularly on cyber issues and personal security; (3) mapping the civic space and activities of human rights defenders to improve the networks between them; and (4) sharing information on urgent protection cases and broader trends with international actors to lobby for protection of human rights defenders. |
