Project Detail |
The Minor Use Foundation is an organization that promotes the proper management of food so that it contains a high nutritional value, through the creation of global alliances that facilitate the insertion of technologies for crop protection. This project seeks to implement a strategic alliance to carry out research projects on topics such as the repercussions of insects within crops, the use of other products that improve their nutritional value, among many others that can promote a strengthening of research capacities. and productive in different countries such as Panama, Colombia and Costa Rica.
General objective:
Implement a strategic alliance between IICA and the Fundación de Cultivos Menores to implement the priorities identified for the Americas region at the Foundations biannual meeting on field and laboratory research that helps generate data for the establishment of international standards. harmonized maximum residue levels (MRLs) for minor crops in prioritized pests and with modern pesticides of less toxicity and residuality.
