Project Detail |
Smallops has developed a process for the production of biogas and zero-valent iron nanoparticles encapsulated in a carbon matrix (OPS), through hydrothermal carbonization (HTC). As a synthesis method applied to vegetable water, this process results in OPS with improved characteristics compared to the reduced iron nanoparticles currently produced on the market, complying with the principles of green chemistry and, at the same time, reducing the cost of synthesis; all this within a framework of circular bioeconomy of 0 waste.
The application of its process is, therefore, the synthesis of nanotechnology products (OPS) from waste generated in the olive sector, and its application in biogas production processes with the aim of (1) valuing waste from the agro-industrial and livestock sectors, (2) optimizing the production and quality of biogas produced from said residues and (3) valuing the digestate obtained as a high-quality fertilizer for application in cultivated soils.
By means of this call, Smallops intends to develop a project with which to scale the growth of its company, under the fulfillment of the following objectives:
- Facilitate the entry of Smallops into potential clients by establishing a mutual collaboration relationship from which both parties benefit.
- Develop autonomy to offer pilots to any type of client regardless of their size and the facilities available.
- Obtain metrics using mixtures of different types of raw material, making it easier to go to other biogas plants that use mixtures similar to those of the olive sector, being able to skip the initial testing phase and converting them directly into customers.
O4. Ensure the development of the business in the medium term, adapting and consolidating the business plan and the companys growth strategy, based on future technological developments. |
