The bodefales are wetlands considered native prairies, they house large amounts of water and their importance lies in the ability to provide water, minerals and shelter for wild animals. Taking this into account, this project seeks to contribute to the sustainable management of bofedales as reserve sources of water and organic matter, in the Lípez region, in the Municipalities of San Pedro de Lípez and San Antonio de Esmoruco in the Department of Potosí, Bolivia. The initiative plans to carry out a biophysical inventory, understanding botanical relationships, estimating biomass production capacity and animal carrying capacity in local systems under conditions of socio-ecological and climatic pressure.
