Project Detail Several sections of the slope on the north side of the roadway above SR 14, between milepost 73.16 and 73.92 have a history of rockfall, especially in fall and winter months. To reduce the risk of rock fall and mitigate slope stability, contactors crews from Strider Construction Co., Inc., will work to stabilize two slopes on the north side of the highway, including rock scaling loose rock, installing rock dowels into the slope face, and building a 20-foot wide by 4-foot deep rock fall catchment ditch alongside the highway.
