Senior loan of up to PLN 222 million in favour of Gemini Polska sp. z o.o. and Polish Pharmacies sp. z o.o. limited liability companies incorporated in Poland, as well as their subsidiaries, together referred to as the Gemini Group (or the "Group"), to finance the capex programme focused on business expansion in the online and offline sales channels. Out of PLN 222 million loan, PLN 137 million will be committed and PLN 85 million uncommitted. The Loan is a part of a larger consortium financing, with the EBRD joined by other lenders.
Project Objectives
The EBRD Loan will support the strategic plans of the Gemini Group by co-financing its investment programme focused on e-commerce growth and digital transformation in Poland, as well as continued expansion of the pharmacy chain operating under the Gemini brand (including franchisee partner companies). The proceeds from the EBRD loan will be allocated towards the outfitting and commissioning of a modern BREEAM Very Good-certified warehouse, which will ensure long-turn sustainability of the Groups business while improving operational efficiency, and will also support the Groups growth in the brick-and-mortar channel, including via its market-leading franchise ecosystem. |
