A strong and growing presence in the state of Alaska
Providing engineering services to Alyeska Pipeline Service Company
Beginning in 1996 and continuously since 2003, our team has been providing engineering services to Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. Part of this partnership included professional multi-discipline engineering services for maintenance, operations, and modifications of the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS).
One of the world’s largest pipeline systems, TAPS is 800 miles of 48-inch pipe, delivering more than 500,000 barrels of oil per day from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez. More than half of this pipeline runs above ground—an engineering decision due to Alaska’s prevalent permafrost terrain.
Over the years, we’ve worked on multiple projects with unique technical challenges, so we have a strong and growing presence in the state of Alaska with oil and gas pipeline and facilities experts. With the cold climate and short construction seasons, the pipeline and its pump stations require specialized expertise to address variable conditions such as permafrost and logistics.
More recently, we’ve been working closely with Alyeska to address the challenges associated with aging facilities and declining throughput. Some of our services also included designs for power generation, pump stations, water treatment, emission controls, marine loading, environmental, and automation control systems. |
