The Project supports the City of Romes multi-annual investment plan under the Institutional Development Contract (Contratto Istituzionale di Sviluppo -CIS) Roma. Objectives The aim is to upgrade the energy efficiency of over 200 schools in the municipal territory, including pre-primary, primary and secondary school buildings located in all the 15 districts of Rome. The foreseen energy efficiency measures consist of comprehensive thermal refurbishments, including walls and roofs insulation, replacement of windows, doors, air conditioning systems, lightning with new LED technology, as well as the installation of renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic, solar collectors and heat pumps.
