The development objective of Environmental Sustainability and Transformation Project for Bangladesh is to strengthen the capacity of the government of Bangladesh in environmental management and to pilot new financing mechanisms to promote green investments in targeted sectors. This project has four components. 1) The first component, Environmental Governance and Infrastructure, has the following sub-components: (i) Regulatory Development; (ii) Institutional Development; (iii) Environment Fund; (iv) Environmental Infrastructure; (v) Capacity Building; and (vi) Project Management. 2) The second component, Green Financing for Air Pollution Control, has the following sub-components: (i) Green Credit Guarantee Fund; (ii) Technical Assistance; and (iii) Project Management. 3) The third component, Vehicle Emission Control, has the following sub-component: (i) Vehicle Inspection; (ii) Technical Assistance; and (iii) Project Management. 4) The fourth component, E-waste Management Infrastructure, has the following sub-components: (i) Pilot E-waste Management Infrastructure; (ii) Technical Assistance; and (iii) Project Management.
