The knowledge and support TA is a follow-up to successful TA 8520-REG: Asia Pacific Public Electronic Procurement Network (APPEPN)_and TA 9680: Strengthening Asia Pacific Public Electronic Procurement Network . It proposes continued regional cooperation among ADB DMCs and with other regional procurement networks (Inter-American Network on Government Procurement), the proposed TA will expand electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) implementation support, including assessments of e-GP systems, security audits, procurement, and contract management, use of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy
Rapid digitalization of government services by majority of ADB DMCs require benchmarking with best practices, which is provided through annual knowledge sharing events (conferences).
ADB is called to provide knowledge support in integrated digital government agenda, inclusive of highly performing, sustainable, efficient, and transparent government procurement system. Phase 2 of APPEPN will continue contributing to improvement of governance institutions in ADB DMCs.
