The Edmonton International Airport will see its cargo handling space expanded and new infrastructure added, as part of a new 2,000-acre international cargo handling hub. The project will help increase the amount of cargo that moves through Edmontons airport and strengthen distribution networks with the rest of Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. The Federal government announced $100M in funding on July 21, 2022 as part of the National Trade Corridors Fund.
