Construction for the Centre of Excellence for Children and Youth will take place in Red Deer next to Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre. The facility will include various support for children and youth in the region. The 66,000-square-foot building will also be home to the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre, the Central Alberta Sexual Assault Support Centre, the Red Deer Child and Youth Addiction and Mental Health Outpatient Clinic (AHS), and the Step Up Step Down youth programs.
