Project Detail |
Cardno is performing a Post-Construction Environmental Assessment (PCEA) of a Replacement Project Right-of Way (RoW) from Alberta to Manitoba scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2026. Get in touch about this project GENERAL INQUIRY usinfo@cardno.com The PCEA is required by the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) in the first, third, and fifth years post-construction. Work will also be done in the second and fourth years to continue resolving issues. The PCEA will use a combination of remote sensing and ground assessments. Remote sensing data will be used to pre-screen RoW for issues and inform the ground assessment program. Fieldwork will assess vegetation health, including crop density, plant health, and weeds. The landscape will be assessed for stability, erosion, drainage, and surface roughness. Soil will be assessed if a vegetation issue is observed to look for topsoil replacement, compaction, or admixing concerns. When identified, issues will be delineated and documented to inform mitigation planning.
