The Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project will remove nine dangerous and congested level crossings between Caulfield and Dandenong and rebuild five new stations (Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Hughesdale, Clayton and Noble Park).

Major construction works started this month with the arrival of two massive pilings rigs – each weighing around 140 tonnes – at Murrumbeena Station. Over the coming months, the rigs will install more than 1,000 piles along the rail corridor to lay the foundations for the elevated rail structures.
Cardno provided Lendlease with in-house design resources to assist with the Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project. Two of Cardno’s drafters are on secondment to the project team, providing civil design and drafting services. |
