Project Name | 2022 Eastern Region Chip Seal - South |
Project Detail | Chip sealing preserves the integrity and life of deteriorating roadway by applying a Bituminous Surface Treatment (BST) seal coat of oil and gravel (chips) to the existing pavement. Restoration is necessary before the underlying road structure is damaged, requiring a much more expensive rebuild. Currently, there are six sections of roadway that will be chip sealed in 2022. This is subject to change based on final budget approval. SR 26 – LaCrosse Airport Rd to Dusty SR 27 – Garfield to Rockford SR 27 – Freeman to 32nd Ave. SR 127 – Big Alkali Rd. to Dusty US 195 – Colton to SR 27 SR 261 – Snake River to SR 260 Timeline The project is slated for construction in 2022. |
