Overall goal The aim of the project is for Austrian companies and organizations to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their strategies and thus make an active contribution to achieving the 2030 Agenda by 2022. Expected results 1. At least two concrete next practice examples will emerge from the SDG teams by 2021 that will contribute to the SDGs. 2. Publication of two SDG sector roadmaps that highlight business-relevant topics and opportunities through the SDGs. 3. By working with organizations that are relevant to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda at local level, more than 100 cities and municipalities have been reached with awareness-raising measures for the 2030 Agenda; At least two specific SDG collaboration projects were identified and the measures of their success story made publicly available. 4. The Global Compact Network Austria will for the first time accept a city or municipality as a participating organization in the network by 2022 at the latest. 5. At least ten participants in the Global Compact Network Austria receive feedback from peers on their sustainability reporting with a focus on SDGs. With the various measures, a total of more than 5000 people are reached. Target group / beneficiaries The target group of the project in question is diverse due to the multi-stakeholder character of the Global Compact Network Austria and ranges from companies of different sizes and branches to organizations such as NGOs, educational institutions and public institutions. In total, more than 5000 people are reached. Activities As one of around 70 national networks of the UN Global Compact (UNGC) in New York, the Global Compact Network Austria represents a central contact point as well as a dialogue and learning platform for the SDGs. The transfer of the international SDG-related services contributes to achieving the project goal of the UNGC as well as the initiation of national activities. |
