Project Detail Overall goal With its program, Frauenensolidarität offers feminist development policy information, education and public relations work in Austria based on the dialogue with womens movements in the south. By processing and making available knowledge from / about women in Africa, Asia and Latin America as well as about the North-South (East) relationship from a feminist or women / gender-specific perspective, she makes an important and unique awareness-raising contribution to the topic of gender and Development in public. The womens solidarity sees its task here in the transfer of know-how from south to north and in learning from the south as well as in the upgrading of community media in Austria. The aim is to further consolidate the expert status and make it accessible throughout Austria and Europe. Expected results Every year, the measure pact directly attracts 8,000-10,000 library visitors, 3,200 newsletter recipients, 1,000 Facebook users, several hundred participants at events, over 2,000 radio calls, downloading 200 audio CDs, 1,000-1,500 copies of the magazine, 60 volunteers Authors. Indirectly reaching a broader public of around 50,000 people via the media. Number of events / publications / activities per year: - 210 library opening days - 8-10 own events - 3 large education events in C3ntrum with C3 partners - 4 media workshops, VWA project with award ceremony - 15 library tours - 160 content-related consultations - 15 radio broadcasts - 1 audio CD - 4 issue numbers of the magazine with 60 articles. - New website and Instagram relaunch Target group / beneficiaries Target groups are students, teachers, multipliers in adult education, researchers, journalists, NGO employees, radio listeners. Partner: The C3 organizations are important cooperation partners for womens solidarity; in the library sector, womens solidarity works primarily with BAOBAB and ÖSFE; in C3, numerous organizational and content-related synergies are used. There are also collaborations with: WIDE - Development Policy Network for Womens Rights and Feminist Perspectives, Platform SDG-Watch, Nosotras en el Mundo / Spain, Cyprus Community Media Center / Cyprus, Desi Radio / Great Britain, Karat / Poland, Gender Center / Romania and radio LoRa / Switzerland, ORANGE 94.0, with migrant women organizations (e.g. LEFÖ, Learning Together, Vivaro - Viva Romnja) and series of events (e.g. this human world), women-specific information and documentation facilities in Austria - frida, umbrella association of German-speaking women and lesbian archives, -libraries and documentation centers, Vienna Center for Taiwan Studies / Institute for Sinology and with the Institute for Romance Studies, public relations working group. and with the EU, International & Gender platform. Regional orientation: Vienna (library, events, radio), Austria-wide (magazine, media work, web radio archive). Activities Building on the experience and results of previous years, four packages of measures will be further developed: (1) The magazine Frauensolidarität appears 3-4 times a year with a print run of 1,000-1,500 copies and is mainly distributed in Austria and German-speaking countries. The main topics include “European Agricultural Policy”, “Utopias and Dystopias of Feminism”, “Talking about my / your generation: girls and women in dialogue” and “Medicine / Reproductive Rights”. With increased digitalization of the magazine and Web 2.0, the expansion of the range and the reaching of new target groups should be pursued and made possible as priority goals. A communication concept is developed and implemented accordingly. (2) In cooperation with ORANGE 94.0, Frauenensolidarität designs the weekly radio program Globale Dialoge - Women on Air and brings its expertise to the radio project. During the project period, topic-related media workshops for girls and young women as well as schoolchildren / school classes will be offered. (3) Together with BAOBAB and ÖFSE, Frauensolidarität looks after the C3 library for development policy, which looks after around 8,000-10,000 library visitors annually on 210 opening days. She leads target group-specific library tours and trainings as well as consultations and organizes feminist-development-political events. One focus will be the switch to a new library system with numerous preparatory and post-processing tasks. (4) Public Relations / Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram) The event area, another important field of work for womens solidarity, is increasingly relying on new organizations and formats in order to address a wider audience. Website & Instagram: technical and visual redesign of the website with a revised structure; Optimization in terms of search engines, usability, accessibility and responsive design; The website is designed in a more modern way, implementation of a web shop. In addition to the existing social media channels (Facebook, Youtube), an Instagram channel will be launched and managed. Two Instagram posts per week are planned with reference to the main topics of ADC - gender and SDGs - based on examples from the practical work of women * solidarity.
