OBJECTIVE
The objective of the Project is to strengthen the public health emergency response infrastructure in Hungary, through provision of emergency equipment and supplies for testing and case management, and to improve pandemic preparedness, through the upgrading of hospital infrastructure.
DESCRIPTION
The Project will support the Government of Hungary in its COVID-19 emergency response and includes the below components:
Component 1 - Building Case Management Capacity: procurement of oxygen therapy devices, vital sign monitors, drugs and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Component 2 - Strengthening Hospital Laboratory System: procurement of lab equipment, test kits, reagents, and other testing supplies.
Component 3 – Refurbishments of hospital buildings: refurbishment of designated hospitals used for the case management of COVID-19 patients with modern technology through the installation of efficient ventilation systems to operating rooms, development of unified hospital access control systems and patient referral areas, renovation of hospital wards, waiting areas and the connecting social areas in order to create easily disinfectable surfaces in hospitals to help address and prevent current and future epidemical situations |
