Creation of a road corridor using green hydrogen in the Occitanie region. The EIB is supporting a regional program for the development of local hydrogen production, transport and distribution infrastructure, as well as the development of a fleet of heavy vehicles (coaches, trucks and refrigerated trailers) running on hydrogen.
Objectives
The main objective of the project is to accelerate the transition to zero-emission hydrogen heavy mobility, in particular for the transport of goods (perishable foodstuffs, others) in electric refrigerated heavy-duty vehicles powered by hydrogen and the transport of interurban passages in the region. Occitanie region by electric hydrogen coaches and the associated hydrogen production and distribution infrastructure, essential for supporting sustainable mobility on the TEN-T North Sea - Mediterranean corridor.
