Project Detail |
Project KSV / 020 is the logical continuation of project KSV / 015: “Support for the reform of vocational education and training (VET) in Kosovo”. It will support the reorganization and strengthening of the governance structure of the vocational education and training (VET) system in Kosovo through assistance in the following areas: accountability, internal organization of stakeholders, business model for management education, public-private partnerships, digitization of processes, etc. The project will intervene at the global level of VET (national / ministry level) as well as at school level. For some specific sectors, this will require upgrading and reforming schools to align them with trends in demand for education. Eight new VET institutions will be supported by the project in the above areas. VET establishments specializing in the fields of health and the economy will represent an important point of the project as regards the reproduction of the practices and the capitalization of the resources developed during the establishment of the health competence center in Ferizaj. and the economy and tourism competence center in Prizren within the framework of the KSV / 015 project. The KSV / 020 project attaches great importance to the digitalization of the different work processes within the national VET structure. This will reduce human resources as well as the risk of error. In addition, the staff concerned in establishments and schools will thus be able to make decisions based on processes derived from precise data collected in real time. All IT tool developments will focus on integrating and interfacing with systems owned by MEST, Department of Social Welfare Labor (MLSW) and other stakeholders. As a general overview, continued support for national VET reform will shift from a pilot phase, marked by the creation of two state-of-the-art competence centers, to a national intervention which will continue to support the implementation of the VET reform and, hopefully, support it through to its completion. The intervention was developed according to the priorities defined in the Kosovo Strategic Education Plan (PSES) 2017-2021 and its action plan, as well as according to the National Development Strategy (SND) 2016- Kosovo 2021. |
