Project Detail The “Circuito 6” project consists of upgrading 78 km of the existing Route 6 in the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, which connects Montevideo with the Brazilian border and crosses the departments of Montevideo, Canelones, Florida, Durazno, Cerro Largo, Tacuarembó, and Rivera (the "Project"). Pursuant to the Public-Private Participation Law and related regulations, and after an international public tender, the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP) has awarded the construction, 20-year operation, and financing of the road infrastructure of Route 6 to the concessionaire Circuito Seis Cuchilla Grande SA, formed by the Spanish firm Rover Infraestructuras SA and the Uruguayan firm Construcciones Viales y Civiles SA (CVC). The maximum execution time for the initial works is 36 months. The Projects works include: i) widening and restoring existing pavement structures; ii) widening and restoring the intersections with other routes, secondary roads, and accesses to the main route; iii) expanding the road between Belloni and Route 74 to a two-way street; iv) building bicycle lanes; v) refurbishing and/or building bridges and storm drains; vi) installing lighting and signage and metal guardrails; and vii) constructing a bypass to the city of San Ramon
