Project Name Promoting Responsible Mineral Supply Chains of Conflict Minerals in Uganda
Project Detail The project will facilitate a productive partnership between Government of Uganda, Mine Operators and Exporters of Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten and Gold (3TGs), Artisanal and Small-scale Miners (ASMs) of 3TGs and Civil Society Organisations to collectively promote the implementation of a successful Responsible Mineral Supply Chain from the mine site to the point of export. The project will promote the formalisation of ASM, tackle restrictive practices that limit full participation of women in mining, enhance mining revenue collection at both sub-national and national level, promote human rights standards and ultimately contribute to good governance of the mining sector in Uganda.
