In the south-east of Nepal, the extremely poor population is still struggling with the consequences of the floods in 2017. In this project, Welthungerhilfe is concentrating on early childhood education in schools in a region with a particularly high number of malnourished children. Almost everything is missing, so classrooms and toilets are being built for several schools and furniture and teaching materials are being made available. Teachers are trained to look after the children professionally, to identify undernourishment and malnutrition and to be familiar with hygiene measures. |
