The United Feed Industry Company was established in 2017, which will establish a factory with modern technologies in Yanbu Industrial Port to manufacture animal feed with an annual production capacity of more than one million metric tons.
The objectives of the factory are in line with the government direction that was imposed in 2018 to ban the cultivation of green fodder at the level of the Kingdom to maintain the level of groundwater, as the factory will compensate for this shortage and fill the demand gap for livestock feed.
Note that the Kingdoms imports of green fodder in 2018 amounted to about 830,000 tons, with an estimated value of 973 million riyals. |
