| Project Name | reDucing the health and Economic COst of Diagnostic uncErtainty: establishing potential applications of BV™ and its composite biomarkers in COVID-19 detection and patient management |
| Project Detail | Quick test to differentiate between bacterial, viral infections In cases of severe infections its often difficult to differentiate between bacterial and viral causes. This leads clinicians to improper diagnosis and costly decisions concerning patients hospitalisation or medical treatment. Also, unnecessary expenses and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) are the consequences of diagnosis difficulty. The EU-funded DECODE project will introduce to the market a novel test developed by MeMed BV™ and an easy Key™ cutting edge multi-purpose platform for quantitative diagnostic immunoassays for differentiation bacterial and viral infections. This is possible by applying machine learning and precise chemiluminescence detection technology for signalling from the immune system. The DECODE project will also reduce costs and patients problems resulted from diagnostic uncertainty. |
