The proposed operation is a Multiple Beneficiary Intermediated Loan (emergency line of credit) to help the Government of French Polynesia addressing the immediate needs related to the COVID-19 crisis. The credit line will be used by the Government to continue providing (direct and indirect) economic support to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) affected by the virus outbreak.

The aim is to help cushion the economic and social impacts of COVID-19, by providing support to affected businesses, workers and the broader community. By supporting the local economy, protecting employment and maintaining SME access to finance, the line of credit will help French Polynesia to recover from the current crisis and continue developing once this will be over. |
