A smart garment that protects operators Work safety is important. Risk that manual labourers face on the job is a major concern for industries. DYNABACK, a company specialised in wearable technology, has developed a smart garment that provides information related to safety during work. The smart garment is fitted with inertial sensors connected to the worker’s smartphone and a cloud network. The system transmits real-time information about the movement of the worker. Made by sustainable materials, it is comfortable enough to be worn throughout the day. The EU-funded Manuback project will promote the smart garment as a safety solution in the manual handling of goods sector. A feasibility study will estimate its efficacy and its market viability. |
