DSF, committed to promoting the culture of pain, wishes to contribute to the integration of pain management and palliative care in local medical practice and, more generally, in the world of health Haitian.
It involves implementing various activities:
Strengthening and creation of multidisciplinary services dedicated to pain PEC (Pain Units);
Development of palliative home care for vulnerable patients by a mobile team;
Creation of a practical guide “Home care” intended for the families of patients at the end of life;
Initial and continuing education for medical and nursing students;
Support for the organization of University Diplomas on the PEC of pain and palliative care.
The harmonization of training, care and advocacy for greater recognition of pain and access to medicines are at the heart of the actions planned in the project. |
