Project Detail |
PAEMS is based on the needs expressed by local partners who report a strong link between the quality of the school environment, attendance and academic results. The lack of equipment (drinking water, sanitation, fencing) is a factor in dropping out of school and failure at school.
This third phase aims to create conditions favorable to the sustainability of the programs achievements by national and regional partners with a view to a change of scale. It is based on the methodological tools and guides produced at the end of the second phase (2016-2018). The main components concern:
National and regional advocacy in favor of WASH
The sustainability of coordination and steering systems for WASH in schools
Training of local communities in the use of tools and the creation of integrated packs in schools (access to water, sanitary blocks and wire fencing)
Capacity building of local associations for the generalization of WASH practices at school level |
