VE-T1072 : Support To The Water, Electricity And Transport Sectors Project Status: Implementation The objectives of this technical cooperation are the following: In the Water Sector: Conduct a rapid diagnosis of the sector and the identification of rapid impact measures for the restoration of potable water supply services and the collection and adequate disposal of wastewater, at minimum acceptable levels of quality, and define the strategies, action plan and studies required (with the development of TDR for the most important studies), which allow the prioritization of actions and investments for the recovery of services in the short and medium term. In the Electricity Sector: Carry out a diagnosis to determine the immediate infrastructure needs to contain the deterioration of electricity services and initiate its recovery in the medium term, with specific actions for the first twelve months. It seeks to determine the immediate and very short term investment needs, by: (i) defining very short-term investment plans to recover the transmission and distribution sector; (ii) the determination of emergency investments in the generation park to recover the generation capacity that is feasible in the very short term; and (iii) the construction of supply and demand scenarios in the short and medium term. In the Transport Sector: Carry out a technical diagnosis of the sector in the country attending the most important needs, and prepare a road map with an action plan to re-establish the transport system in the country in the future.
