Southeast of the Kenyan capital Nairobi lies the Matuu Vision Centre for orphans and vulnerable children. Welthungerhilfe supports the 390 children of this day care centre and school in the drought-stricken region. The project provides them with a healthy and varied diet. For example, vitamin-rich vegetables can be grown in several new greenhouses. Investments were also made in several dairy cows and a chicken farm. The surplus can be sold. The centre is also supported in filling and selling its own well water.
