Project Detail |
The Central African Republic currently languishing at the bottom of various hunger and poverty rankings, is making bold attempts to revive its agricultural sector - a sector which is so important for the country. In the few semi-secure areas around the capital, Bangui, Welthungerhilfe is helping with infrastructure repairs (to bridges, roads, and irrigation systems), and promoting contact between small farmers and seed merchants to boost production. Government representatives are also offered consultancy services to help them take better care of the rebuilt structures.
