The east of Burkina Faso is constantly losing inhabitants who migrate to the neighbouring countries of Benin, Niger and Togo. People cant fight climate change with outdated farming methods and poor seeds. Vegetable cultivation is therefore being diversified and intensified. The project starts with manioc and modernises and professionalises the entire supply chain. New and sustainable processing facilities are being built, more efficient irrigation methods are being introduced and producers (especially women) are being taught the latest (technical) knowledge.
