CORRIDORS MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE RING OF GROWTH IN WEST AFRICA (WAGRI-CACAO)

Interregional and regional road improvement projects to provide better access to potential agricultural areas from the central corridor
6. JUSTIFICATION OF THE PROJECT:
The Pulima - Tumu - Pina is part of the interregional road called IR 4 which starts in Kumasi and ends in Chambuligu. Navrongo - Lawra Road is called
Roads, when rebuilt, specifically aim to strengthen the integration of the regions mentioned and also strengthen economic activity - the movement mainly of agricultural products and people on the markets, to facilitate trade and economic integration. Road reconstruction will also benefit people in the areas of influence by improving travel safety and reducing transportation costs for passengers and freight, thereby contributing to poverty reduction.

Other stakeholders: Public service agencies, PAPs, local authorities (eg district assemblies) and structures within the road corridor right-of-way
Coordination and monitoring-evaluation
The Ministry of Roads and Highways will ensure effective coordination. Other actors will be the Ghana Highway Authority, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Finance. A project implementation unit will be put in place to monitor through inspection and field reports.
