The Berekum - Banda Road is part of the regional roads designated R68 (Berekum - Nsawkaw) and R94 (Menji - Banda Nkwanta) all located in the Bono area. The region is an important hub for agricultural products such as yam, cashew and corn. The Bui Dam, built to improve Ghanas energy needs, is located here. He is currently in a deplorable state, negatively affecting the movement of people and goods.
Roads, when rebuilt, specifically aim to strengthen the integration of the regions mentioned and also strengthen economic activity - the movement mainly of agricultural products and people on the markets, to facilitate trade and economic integration. Road reconstruction will also benefit people in the areas of influence by improving travel safety and reducing transportation costs for passengers and freight, thereby contributing to poverty reduction.
