Today, even if the operation of the line is maintained with the 1994 concession, the track is in a state of advanced degradation and no longer meets the development needs of Burkina Faso: The slowdowns to 25 km / h are scattered on the route and the commercial speed is reduced to 17km / h for the freight train . The rehabilitation and hence the implementation of the 2011-2030 investment program in the field of infrastructure will provide an infrastructure that best meets the transportation needs of the country. This rehabilitation is done under BOT by the current dealer. Support infrastructures for the development of loading and unloading equipment for cattle in railway stations as well as waiting pens for cattle in railway stations are the responsibility of the State. 7.
