Project Detail Overall goals, project goals and sub-goals The overall objective of the project is to contribute to sustainable expansion of the tourism industry in Värmland. The project objective is to increase the competitiveness and growth of Värmlands SMEs in a rapidly growing global visitor industry and to increase the number of visitors to Värmland. To achieve the goal, the project has set sub-goals: 1. Increased business intelligence among the companies 2. Increased business development among the companies 3. Companies are working on a broader market (more segments and countries) 4. Increase the visibility of companies through digital tools 5. Develop Värmland as food and drinking destination (increased meal tourism) How to work to achieve the projects objectives The project will further develop a cluster-oriented approach in Visit Värmland based on the regional visitor industry strategy through practical activities and by developing methods, systems and structures to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs in Värmlands hospitality industry. The project also creates an active link between the food and visitor industries, which according to the project offers an opportunity for the tourist industry companies to use locally produced food and drink as part of the offer in order to strengthen the overall experience. The project will have a gender equality and diversity integrated approach and be based on the guide for sustainable project management that Visit Värmland has developed together with Life Academy. The guide contains checklists and templates that help integrate sustainability throughout the work process. How the regional business community will participate in the implementation The regional business community will be involved in most of the projects activities. Both the project organization and the companies in the hospitality industry will, through various networks, create a contact area for inspiration and new knowledge. The project will carry out activities in order for the companies to develop their products and services and be ready to meet an international market. The project will arrange and carry out processes / workshops / seminars focusing on various business development activities. Companies will be given the opportunity to participate in activities and get guidance on issues regarding digitization. The regional business community will also be represented in the projects steering and reference groups in order to be able to continuously respond to the project. The projects expected results and benefits at the end of the project period - Companies have improved their ability to provide new knowledge from the market, All sorts of digital development have changed this into new products and processes. The group is expected to be able to develop its offering and make it into a rapidly expanding glossy business. - The project has resulted in an increased growth in domestic visits companies. - The projects only co-operation with the food ring, has been developing Va rmland seam and the beverage destination island (island maid time tourism). More visits companies regularly seek to use onion-based food seams an active part of the offer. - The project has strongly emphasized Visit Va rmlands directional leadership before visiting the company in Va rmland, in line with the regu- latory visit strategy. -The project is, in general, expected to contribute to the visibility of women and the foreign society as the work of the company seems to be concerned with utilizing the supply chain and the training for the entire herd. The project runs to have contributed to the companies knowledge of how to work with the perspective of equality and increased mea- sures in order to strengthen their gender power. In the same way, the project runs the power of the firms companies to work actively with sustainability and environmental aspects, while the incentive-driving factors in the training process are etc. The project contributes to increased growth in the governments small and medium-sized businesses.
