Project Detail |
Gladstone-Benaraby Road traverses urban, industrial and rural areas and provides an important local connection for commuter, industrial and recreational traffic to and from Gladstone.
Through the High Risk Roads Program, The Queensland Government has invested $20.4 million to deliver 14km of wide centre-line treatment on Gladstone-Benaraby Road, remove safety hazards from within the road corridor to improve visibility and sight distance, and realign the Rifle Range Road intersection to improve safety for road users.
It will also include works around property accesses within the project extent to ensure traffic can safely travel around turning vehicles and resurfacing of the Philip Street and Glenlyon Road roundabout approaches.
The implementation of these road safety treatments will provide a consistent customer experience that meets driver and community expectation. |
