Project info
The upgrade to the Eight Mile Plains Station park ‘n’ ride will include the increase of around 340 new car parks, taking the number of available car parks to around 1200.
Construction is expected to commence in April 2019 with completion in late 2019, construction and weather conditions permitting.
The upgrade will include the installation of bicycle storage racks, realignment of pedestrian pathways, improvements to drainage and the installation of CCTV cameras and lighting.
Unfortunately, some trees will be removed to allow for the increase in parking area. All necessary environmental approvals and permits have been obtained, and landscaping will be undertaken on project completion.
Bus services will continue to operate on the normal schedule during construction. |
